Giving Youth a Voice through the Arts

These programs are designed to foster creativity in young people, and give them outlets for self-expression. From photography to hip-hop, our arts programs have something that will inspire everyone.

We have seen many young people develop emotionallu and academically as a result of emphasizing their imagination and creativity through involvement in artistic activities at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Arlington. Our members participate daily in general arts and crafts projects as well as weekly program opportunities in performing arts activities. Club members participate each year at the local, regional and national level in the Imagemakers Photography Contest and National Fine Arts Exhibit

General Arts & Crafts

Basic Craft activities are offered daily. These activities include painting, coloring, and sculpting art projects. Each Project is designed to support weekly program themes. Art offers and interactive way for our members to discover new cultures and travel through history by studying and duplicating artwork. We believe that developing creativity contributes to developing a child's academic and social skills.

Performing Arts

Members participate in choir, poetry, and step dance teams. Performing arts are offered at most of our sites and give members the opportunity to explore a new side of themselves and build the confidence needed to perform infront of others.
